Food Safety Assessment Training Offered

To address the needs of small-scale producers, University of Arkansas faculty have identified a science-based food safety program that guides producers through a step-by-step checklist for analyzing their operations. The checklist alerts farmers to possible areas of exposure, evaluates where they stand in relation to recommended practices and enhances documentation of on-farm processes for outside parties.

In conjunction with the AFMA annual meeting, Dr. Steve Seideman will present the first Arkansas Voluntary Farm Food Safety Assessment training on January 24, 2014.

The training is free. Lunch will be provided to participants. Reservations are required. To reserve a spot in the training, call Beverly Dunaway at 501-650-0981.

I attempted to contact Beverly Dunaway at the number listed above regarding the Food Safety assessment class but the number was answered by a fax machine. Do anyone have any additional contact info for her or how to sign up for this course?
