If you missed the regular registration deadline for the cornbread competition, you are in luck. If you drop off your registration form and the $50 regular registration fee by 4:00 pm Wednesday at the ESSE Purse Museum (1510 Main Street), you don't have to pay the late registration fee. ESSE is open 11-4 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Attached is the application!

The 2017 Arkansas Cornbread Festival will be held from 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 on South Main Street (SoMa) between 13th and 16th Streets in Little Rock.  

If you are interested in competing in this year's event please read and complete the attached application and follow the instructions for submitting it along with payment.
This year there will be public voting on site, as well as blue ribbon judging by guest judges.  Prizes include $1000 first place$500 second place, and $250 best side for both professional and amateur entries.  There will be an open event format this year with limited fencing that will allow the public to enjoy vendors, games, music and other fun activities without purchasing a sampling ticket.  However we anticipate a very large crowd wanting to sample all the amazing cornbread and side dish recipes prepared by competitors!

Come to SoMa for the 2017 Arkansas Cornbread Festival. Held on Saturday, October 21 from 11 to 4 on South Main Street, this Festival has something for everyone. Teams compete for cash prizes to determine who makes the best cornbread and side dish. You can sample them all and vote for your favorite by buying a tasting ticket ($8 in advance; $10 at the event). The rest of the festival is free and includes food trucks, southern music, local vendors, baggo, Arkansas breweries, animals from Heifer International, and Cosmo's Kid Corner. If you are coming from out of town, stay at a place in the neighborhoodRegistration for cornbread competitors and vendors is open until September 23Sponsors can be part of advertising if you sign-up before September 15.
